One Voice, One Child: Christopher

Christopher and his three siblings have been in foster care before. They were placed with their grandmother who then passed away. They were then placed with their aunt but were removed from her shortly after. Now Christopher is separated from all of his siblings and he is having a tough time. The caregiver and GAL believed Christopher would benefit from a trip to Orlando with his siblings and their foster parents because he will be able to have time with his siblings outside of a courtroom, enjoy himself and just be a kid. When the GAL visited him after the trip, he was excited to share his experience and stated he enjoyed seeing his siblings. It made such a big impact on him, that he shared at school with classmates at the beginning of this school year when students were talking about their best summer experience. This allowed him to feel that he is like other children in his age group at school, and not a child in foster care who is different.
