One Voice, One Child: Cheyanne

One Voice, One Child: Cheyanne

Cheyanne is placed at a group home with her three siblings.  She was very shy initially and has now opened up with the GAL. She never asks for anything because she doesn't want to take away from any needs of her siblings. She comes from a family in which she was neglected and her family allowed many inappropriate transient people to live in their home.  Cheyanne's GAL requested funds for Cheyanne to go to summer camp as she had never been before.  Cheyanne tried horseback riding for the very first time, engaged in music instruction, and had many great experiences. It also helped her develop her social skills and meeting new kids her age.  Cheyanne's GAL stated, “I just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to for GALF and your donors for your outstanding and timely help to secure funding for Cheyanne to attend the Salvation Army's Camp Keystone in July. Cheyanne was thrilled when I told her she was going to camp! This is why I love being a GAL and being part of a GREAT team!”
